| Carnegie Wins Several Awards, Attracts New Business
April 6, 2009, WESTFORD, MA -- Carnegie Communications, a leading higher education research, marketing and consulting firm with headquarters near Boston, MA, has received several awards for its creative enrollment marketing work in the 24th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards national competition, sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report. Carnegie was recognized for its Niagara University Total Recruitment Package (Bronze Medal), which resulted in attracting the two largest freshman classes in the University’s history (2007 and 2008) and an increase in both applications and campus visits. “This is the second series of recruitment literature that the Carnegie team has produced for Niagara University,” said Christine McDermott, senior director of admissions at the University. “I applaud this group not only for their professionalism but also for paying attention to the small details and assisting the university in presenting a clear, defined message. These factors, merged together, created an award-winning series that helped NU achieve two banner recruitment years.” The firm also received a Bronze medal for a search collateral piece it produced for Howard Payne University and a Merit Award for its Joliet Junior College search piece. “Carnegie offers a unique combination of talent in research, branding and marketing strategy along with an award-winning creative group,” said Owen Landon III, president of the firm. “As a result, we are able to build long-term partnerships with our clients that help them solve the growing range of enrollment and advancement challenges they face.” In the past two years, Carnegie has received Admissions Marketing Awards for a variety of marketing and communications programs, including television advertising for Alfred University and the Community College of Philadelphia; direct mail for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Manhattanville College and Utah State University; logo development for Medaille College; recruiting collateral and viewbooks for Spelman College, Texas Lutheran University, Florida Southern College and Indiana University’s School of Law; and total recruitment packages for the University of South Dakota, Augustana College and Thomas Jefferson University College of Health Professions.
